The Lidana spa centre has an indoor stainless-steel pool with a hydromassage bay, a steam sauna, a Finnish sauna, a Himalayan salt room and an outdoor ciubăr (a wood-fired hot tub), at Vama, in Suceava county, southern Bucovina, northern Romania. You come in through a separate entrance, from outside the building, and there are no bedrooms in the leisure building — so the area stays quiet.
If you are staying at Lidana, full access to the spa centre is included in your room rate. The pool, the hydromassage bay, both saunas and the salt room are not charged for separately.
For visitors, the entry fee of 60 lei per adult (30 lei per child aged 4–10, free under 3) gives full access to all indoor facilities: stainless-steel pool, hydromassage, steam sauna, Finnish sauna and salt room.
The wood-fired hot tub (300 lei for 3 hours, up to 6 people) and the relaxation massage (150 lei / 50 min) are paid for separately by all guests and require advance booking.

The basin is stainless steel, not tiled concrete. A steel basin holds the water chemistry far more steadily, needs significantly less chlorine and has no grout lines for deposits to lodge in. You can feel the difference, and you can see it in how clear the water is.
This is not a separate hot tub but a hydromassage section built into the same basin, with its own jets and the same overflow channel. You move across into it straight from the pool, without getting out of the water.
A room with lit Himalayan salt walls and wooden benches. Breathing in the salt aerosols is used as a complementary therapy for the airways. Included in the spa admission ticket.
A dry wood sauna (on the right side of the sauna area), with benches on two levels. Sweating helps with detoxification, with the circulation and with easing the muscles. Included in the spa admission ticket.

A wooden hot tub in the open air, heated by a wood fire rather than electrically. That is why reception needs at least 5 hours' notice: that is how long the water takes to come up to temperature. The price is for the tub, not per person — the same 300 lei whether two of you get in or six.
A 50-minute relaxation massage by appointment. Please let reception know at least one day in advance to schedule your slot.

The spa admission ticket gives access to all indoor facilities: stainless-steel pool with hydromassage bay, steam sauna, Finnish sauna and Himalayan salt room. The wood-fired hot tub is heated by wood fire and requires at least 5 hours' notice. Massage requires at least 1 day advance booking.
Most guest-house pools are tiled concrete basins. Ours is stainless steel, and the difference is not a cosmetic one.
For anyone getting into the water, that means something concrete: less smell of chlorine, less stinging in the eyes, visibly clearer water.
Do not take synthetic fabrics or plastic bottles into the sauna: the high temperature releases substances from the plastic, which then end up in the air and on your skin.
The sauna is not recommended for people with heart conditions, people undergoing cancer treatment, people with communicable diseases and women who are pregnant. If you have a chronic condition, ask your doctor first. The same precautions apply to the outdoor hot tub.
Both are by appointment. Ring reception, especially if you are coming as a group or at a weekend.

Yes. The acier inoxydable pool with its hydromassage bay, the steam sauna, the Finnish sauna and the salt room are all included in your room rate. You pay nothing extra for them. The outdoor hot tub and the massage are paid for separately.

Indoors, no. The hydromassage is a bay built inside the pool itself, with its own jets, for 6–8 people. You move into it from the pool without getting out of the water, and it is never charged for separately. Outdoors, we do have a wooden ciubăr — that one is booked and paid for on its own.
