The Ciumârna Pass (also called the Palma Pass), is a pass located on the DN17A at 1100 m altitude[1] and which crosses the Obcina Mare connecting the Moldovița Valley to the Suceva Plateau. The pass is located on the summit between the peaks Poiana Prislop (1180 m altitude, to the southeast) and Poiana Ursului (1130 m altitude, to the northwest), between the localities of Sucevița (to the northeast) and Ciumârna (to the southwest) .
The nearest railway stations are at Rădăuți and at Vama.
Further towards Campulung Moldovenesc DN17A crosses Curmătura Bouului Pass (Trei Movile) from Feredeului Municipality.
