The museum presents the traditional occupations, the popular port from the north of Romania, fabrics, barks, traiste, stitching and embroidery on white breastplates made of lamb fur and on canvas, worked with taste and fine art, wood sculptures, ceramic objects, etc. The objects of black pottery from Marginea and pottery from Kuty, as well as the collection of inked eggs, are worth noting.
Historical

In 1920, the collection of the first objects for the endowment of the new museum unit began. The first exhibition was opened in 1926 by the spouses Samuil and Eugenia Ioneț and included a rich collection of objects brought by the two teachers from Bucovina villages. The exhibition took place in the family home, and later moved to the school where Samuil Ioneț was director in the years 1928-1933 (the current General School No. 4 in Rădăuți). The official opening of the museum took place in April 1934, and the headquarters were established in the building of the current town hall. The initial collection contained numerous objects donated by the Ioneț family and grew over time, reaching in 1944 around 10,000 objects.

However, the entire collection was lost during the war, being confiscated by the Soviet Army. Part of the collections is currently at the Ethnographic Museum in Chisinau. In 1948, the Ethnographic Museum of Rădăuți was reopened by Samuil Ioneț and Vasile Fundu (collaborator of the museum since 1937). In 1970 the museum moved to its current location in the city center. The building in which it operates now was built in 1860 and is declared an architectural monument. The current exhibition was opened in 1976 and is based on the popular techniques of Bucovina. Currently, the museum bears the name of its founders, having the name of the Museum of Ethnography "Samuil și Eugenia Ioneț" - Rădăuți.
