The narrow-gauge railway from Moldovita was built by a sawmill owner from Munich, Louis Ortieb, and put into use in 1888 for the transport of wood from the forest to the sawmill.<\/p>\n
In 1909, the line was taken over from the church fund, which changed the gauge of the line from 800 millimeters to the standardized gauge of 760 millimeters. Initially, the moc\u0103ni\u021ba route was 23.9 kilometers long, from Moldovi\u021ba to Ro\u0219o\u0219a, but over the years, many more variants were built and the whole system arrived in 1987 with the establishment of the R\u00e2\u0219covei \u2013 R\u00e2\u0219ca d\u0127r\u0103ta + Arsuri section at one length of 73 kilometers.<\/p>\n
