It was founded at the initiative of a group of local intellectuals, initially bearing the name \"Museum of Antiquities and Ethnography\". This is the oldest ethnographic museum in Moldova.<\/p>\n<div id=\"slideOne\" class=\"slider\">The museum presents the traditional occupations, the popular port from the north of Romania, fabrics, barks, traiste, stitching and embroidery on white breastplates made of lamb fur and on canvas, worked with taste and fine art, wood sculptures, ceramic objects, etc. The objects of black pottery from Marginea and pottery from Kuty, as well as the collection of inked eggs, are worth noting.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"titlu-r\"><strong>Historical<\/strong><\/div>\n<p>In 1920, the collection of the first objects for the endowment of the new museum unit began. The first exhibition was opened in 1926 by the spouses Samuil and Eugenia Ione\u021b and included a rich collection of objects brought by the two teachers from Bucovina villages. The exhibition took place in the family home, and later moved to the school where Samuil Ione\u021b was director in the years 1928-1933 (the current General School No. 4 in R\u0103d\u0103u\u021bi). The official opening of the museum took place in April 1934, and the headquarters were established in the building of the current town hall. The initial collection contained numerous objects donated by the Ione\u021b family and grew over time, reaching in 1944 around 10,000 objects.<\/p>\n<div class=\"open-close\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"slideTwo\" class=\"slider\">\n<p>However, the entire collection was lost during the war, being confiscated by the Soviet Army. Part of the collections is currently at the Ethnographic Museum in Chisinau. In 1948, the Ethnographic Museum of R\u0103d\u0103u\u021bi was reopened by Samuil Ione\u021b and Vasile Fundu (collaborator of the museum since 1937). In 1970 the museum moved to its current location in the city center. The building in which it operates now was built in 1860 and is declared an architectural monument. The current exhibition was opened in 1976 and is based on the popular techniques of Bucovina. Muzeul prezint\u0103 ocupa\u021biile tradi\u021bionale, portul popular din nordul Rom\u00e2niei, \u021bes\u0103turi, scoar\u021be, traiste, cus\u0103turi \u0219i broderii pe pieptare albe din bl\u0103ni\u021be de miel \u0219i pe p\u00e2nz\u0103, lucrate cu gust \u0219i art\u0103 fin\u0103, sculpturi \u00een lemn, obiecte de ceramic\u0103 etc. Se remarc\u0103 obiectele de ceramic\u0103 neagr\u0103 de Marginea \u0219i de ceramic\u0103 de Kuty, precum \u0219i colec\u021bia de ou\u0103 \u00eencondeiate. Istoric \u00cen anul 1920 s-a \u00eenceput colectarea primelor obiecte pentru dotarea noii unit\u0103\u021bi muzeale. Prima expozi\u021bie a fost deschis\u0103 \u00een anul 1926 de c\u0103tre so\u021bii Samuil \u0219i Eugenia Ione\u021b \u0219i cuprindea o colec\u021bie bogat\u0103 de obiecte aduse de cei doi \u00eenv\u0103\u021b\u0103tori din satele Bucovinei. Expozi\u021bia a avut loc \u00een locuin\u021ba familiei, iar ulterior s-a mutat \u00een \u0219coala unde Samuil Ione\u021b a fost director \u00een anii 1928-1933 (actuala \u0218coal\u0103 General\u0103 Nr.4 din R\u0103d\u0103u\u021bi). Deschiderea oficial\u0103 a muzeului s-a f\u0103cut \u00een aprilie 1934, iar sediul s-a stabilit \u00een cl\u0103direa actualei prim\u0103rii. Colec\u021bia ini\u021bial\u0103 con\u021binea numeroase obiecte donate de familia Ione\u021b \u0219i a crescut \u00een timp, ajung\u00e2nd \u00een 1944 la circa 10.000 de obiecte. \u00centreaga colec\u021bie s-a pierdut \u00eens\u0103 \u00een perioada r\u0103zboiului, fiind confiscat\u0103 de Armata Sovietic\u0103. O parte din colec\u021bii se afl\u0103 \u00een prezent la Muzeul Etnografic din Chi\u0219in\u0103u. \u00cen anul 1948, Muzeul Etnografic de la R\u0103d\u0103u\u021bi a fost redeschis de c\u0103tre Samuil Ione\u021b \u0219i Vasile Fundu (colaborator al muzeului din 1937). \u00cen 1970 muzeul se mut\u0103 \u00een loca\u021bia actual\u0103, aflat\u0103 \u00een centrul ora\u0219ului. Cl\u0103direa \u00een care func\u021bioneaz\u0103 acum a fost construit\u0103 \u00een 1860 \u0219i este declarat\u0103 monument de arhitectur\u0103. Actuala expozi\u021bie a fost deschis\u0103 \u00een anul 1976 \u0219i este bazat\u0103 pe tehnicile populare din Bucovina. \u00cen prezent, muzeul poart\u0103 numele \u00eentemeietorilor lui, av\u00e2nd denumirea de Muzeul de Etnografie \u201eSamuil \u0219i Eugenia Ione\u021b\u201d \u2013 R\u0103d\u0103u\u021bi.
